Attic Finds: Vintage Decorative Nautical Pier
Solid wood (looks like oak) and rope decorative Nautical Pier.  Stands 16-3/4" tall and 5" diameter (wide) at both ends, there is a 1/2 " dia hole thru the length of the piece.
